How to edit a slide deck made by ChatGPT or Claude
AI is great at generating a whole presentation as one HTML file. It's less great when you just need to fix one number — and re-prompting often changes ten other things you liked.
Ask ChatGPT, Claude, or a similar tool for a presentation and you'll frequently get a single .html file: a polished, self-contained deck that opens in any browser. It's a genuinely good format. But the editing loop is painful — change one word by asking the model again, and it may reword your headline, swap your colors, or drop a slide. You wanted a scalpel; you got a slot machine.
Edit it directly instead
edit-html.com lets you open that AI-generated file and change exactly what you want, leaving everything else untouched:
- Click a headline or bullet and retype it.
- Click a chart and fix the numbers.
- Nudge, resize, recolor anything that's slightly off.
- Reorder or delete slides the model added that you don't need.
Then save, and you keep the same single HTML file — no format change, no re-prompt, no surprises. It all happens in your browser; your deck is never uploaded anywhere.

- Have the AI generate the deck as an HTML file and save it.
